The former Playboy Playmate of the Year is acknowledging herself as a baby boomer and has launched a new excercise video/dvd for women over 40, 50 and yes, 60 and beyond.  She's always aligned herself with topics relevant to her age and now as a parent and thriving buisness woman she has created a sensible and relatable work out dvd with co-creator Cathleen Rowland.  Reasonably priced at 18.95 (postage paid BTW), the DVD also includes a bonus disc, "Working Out with A Friend" that is chock full of sensible eating & other useful tips.

Char welcomed The Smart Girlz into her home for a chat recently where she opened up about the dvd and her other projects.

Originally from Ohio, this fiery redhead began modelling in Chicago and landed a coveted position as a Playboy Playmate.
She shot Playboy layouts in both Chicago and L.A. and went on to get covers on Vogue and other fashion magazines, and eventually acting gigs. Having been all over the world, she has seen alot more than she would have if she had pursued a career in her college major of psychology.  Ambition, brains and looks paid off as Charlotte is also the first Playmate to have ever been issued a Playboy liscense by the sexy publishing Papa himself.  She organized the Magazine's
1st female running team that covers charitable events.  She is currently writing her memoirs of that voluminous phase of her life, with notable publishers eager to read.

Charlotte has also created a company called FauxCrete By Char in which she herself treats bare concrete floors with an acid wash that transforms it into a gorgeous, high-gloss finish.  Asked what her inspiration is for that, and she says that "aside from loving the creation of the finished look-  it's hard physical work and I get a great work-out."  She can also design patterns as well, you tell her and she'll customize it.

Among her other enterprises, the one Charlotte cherishes the most is that of being a mother.  She volunteers at her son's school with bake sales and other fundraisers and also finds ways to help out at the local Single Mother's Outreach program through donations and sometimes employing single moms for various odd jobs.  As a single parent at one point in her life - she understands the importance of giving and being a support person to others as much as she can.  Directed guidance is one thing she said she never really had from her childhood and "encourages young girls to go out there and find a mentor, a celebrity figure, even a library to hop on the internet and find that support person to help you get to your destination, whatever it may be."

We're happy that Charlotte has found her destination, now that's SMART!
